Privacy Policy

We collect an email address, a cookieless count of page views, and almost nothing else. This page says exactly what, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it.
Who is responsible
Goodhaul is a small independent project operated from the State of Georgia, USA, and its operator is the data controller for anything described here.
There is no company behind it yet. If Goodhaul incorporates, the company name and registered address will appear here before that changes anything about your data.
For anything about your data, email hello@goodhaul.app and a person will handle it.
1. What we collect
If you join the list, whether for the tracker or the founding list:
- Your email address
- Roughly how many creators you gift each month, if you tell us
- Whether you asked about founding spots, so we contact you first when they open
- The date you signed up
No payment details. Nothing is for sale yet, so there is no card, no charge, and no billing record.
When you visit the site, our host Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request information in order to serve the page and block abuse.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records which page you looked at, the site you arrived from, your country, your browser, operating system and device type, and how fast the page loaded. It sets no cookies, saves nothing on your device, does not fingerprint you, and cannot follow you to any other website. We use it to see whether anyone is reading, and for nothing else.
There is no advertising tracker on this site and no cross-site tracking of any kind. If we ever add something that does track you, this page changes before it goes live.
Our email tool, Kit, does record whether you opened an email we sent and whether you clicked a link in it. That is on by default and it is how we tell whether these emails are worth sending. It does not follow you around other websites. If you would rather it did not happen at all, tell us and we will remove you from the list.
2. Why we collect it
- To send you the tracker, which is the thing you asked for.
- To email you about the build and tell you when founding spots open.
- To understand who we are building for, using the gifting-volume answer in aggregate.
Where the law requires a lawful basis, ours is your consent for marketing email, and our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share your email with other brands. There is no advertising network on this site and no profile being built about you anywhere.
4. Who else processes it
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which stores the email list, sends the emails, and records opens and clicks as described above.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and serves this site, and which provides the cookieless Web Analytics described above.
Both have their own privacy policies and may process data in the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on the transfer mechanisms those providers put in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete you, and is removed within 30 days of either. Cloudflare keeps server logs on its own standard schedule.
6. Your rights
Depending where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to send it elsewhere. You can withdraw consent to marketing email at any time, and every email has a working unsubscribe link.
Email hello@goodhaul.app and we will action it, usually well within 30 days, at no charge.
If you are in the UK or EEA and think we have handled this badly, you can complain to your local supervisory authority. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
7. Security, children and changes
Data is encrypted in transit and access to the list is limited to the people running Goodhaul. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you.
Goodhaul is a business tool, is not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, email us and it goes.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email the list before it takes effect. When the app launches it will process data this page does not yet describe, including creator names and shipping addresses on behalf of brands, and this policy will be updated before any of that begins.
